The Guided Experience

A guided ski tour begins with us meeting you at the airport and driving you to your hotel. At the hotel, we provide new arrivals with a small reception with wine and cheese, and outline the tour to come. No tour would have more then 33 guests, which in turn are organized into smaller groups of 11 people maximum.

An experienced guide is assigned to each group. The guide is the key element in providing full service. Each guide is also a professional driver, skier and expert in this area’s activities, facilities and history. The guide is assigned a 15-passenger van, customized to handle 11 people and their luggage and skis. He/she is your person of contact and is on hand each day of the tour to assist in the enjoyment of your holiday.

Each morning, the guide will meet your group at the hotel, and together, using the guide’s knowledge of the region’s ski areas, you make a decision on which mountain to ski that day. By having our own transportation, you are not limited to the transportation schedules of the ski buses, nor do you have to wait in line to board. Once at the ski area chosen, the guide then becomes the group’s on-hill leader. By using the knowledge of the guide, you quickly find the type of ski runs that you want to ski. For good skiers, this means finding those gem tree runs, or hard-to-find chutes. For the less adventurous, this means finding the best groomed runs that day. The role of the guide is to lead the skiers in his or her charge to the terrain that they will enjoy the most.

The guide’s job does not end there. The guide will typically make lunch table reservations for his group and if the group is interested, do the same for dinner later in the evening. He can co-ordinate other activities as well, such as day heli-skiing or snowmobiling. In all cases, you need only go to the guide to organize a multitude of activities and events.

Our goal with this program, is to allow you to enjoy your holiday without having to work at determining what there is to do and where you can do it. At the same time, through our guides, a unique chemistry evolves between all of the participants, most of whom wouldn’t have known each other before the tour. There is something about sharing a passion for skiing and the mountains that happens in these ski groups. Life-long friendships begin amongst people of different backgrounds and cultures.
