Silver Star Mountain Resort is world renowned
for its charm, its sweeping variety of facilities and its friendly
staff. Done up in a swirling array of colours and all set
against a backdrop of fresh white snow, the Victorian style village
is taken straight out of a Charles Dickens novel. The entire
resort, whether a hotel or pub in the village or a privately owned
vacation home, is a model of Victorian architecture. On the
inside however, Silver Star accommodations have every modern amenity
necessary to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The
village is a pedestrian-only promenade, where all the major hotels,
restaurants, pubs, boutiques, child care, teen center and ski shop
services are located. The village is located mid-mountain,
making all accommodation ski in/ski out. How to get there:
Daily
flights with Air Canada, West Jet, Horizon Air and Air BC
operate daily from Calgary and Vancouver to Kelowna, British
Columbia. From Kelowna to Big White, there are numerous
public transfers available (about a one hour trip). Car
rentals and private transfers are also available.
