km/248 mi. northwest of Calgary and 362 km/226 mi. west of
Edmonton. The 287 km/172 mi. Ice fields Parkway from
Banff to Jasper is one of the most scenic corridors and
highways in the world, passing by rugged mountain ranges and
numerous glaciers, including the Columbia Icefield.
