Fernie |
 |
Fernie Alpine Resort is a world-class ski
area renowned for its accumulation of excellent natural snow and
is described by the locals as the powder capital of the Canadian
Rockies.
The ski area has been recently redeveloped to offer ski-in/ski-out accommodation and vast new terrain. With over 2,500
acres of treed glades, wide open bowls and spectacular ridges this
is the place to ski! The town of Fernie, situated in the Elk
Valley, is located 5 minutes away from the
resort.
How to get there:
Fernie is a
three-and-a-half hour drive from Calgary International
Airport, and an hour and 15 minutes from Cranbrook, British
Columbia. Most major airlines serve Calgary, while Time Air
and Air B.C. serve Cranbrook.
